Load for resistance

Weighted inverted crunches: doing crunches while inverted and holding on to some load for resistance

For weights, the best is to get yourself a set of dumbbells. A cheap one will do. However, if you can’t afford any, then you can try using some books. I’m sure you have some old Encyclopaedia or textbooks lying around somewhere. However, as your core gets stronger and you feel the need to increase the load, then holding on to several books at once while inverting can be troublesome. So, you’re going to need to find ways for you to safely hold on to that load without compromising your grip, which is why I recommend using dumbbells.

You can get dumbbells at your local sporting goods store or you can buy them online. I've searched on the Net for such online stores and have came across a few that offer competitive prices as well as worldwide shipping (for my overseas visitors). In addition, they also have
solid reputations. I'll be posting a link to them shortly here. I'll be doing the same in the other sections.

Alright, there are 3 ways that you can do the exercise. I’m going to start with the cheapest (actually free) way and for each method, I’ll list the pros and cons as well. Just click on 'Methods of doing the exercise' on the navigation panel to continue.
